The machine started, first a hum and then the familiar tones that made me feel I was strapped to the underbelly of a jumbo jet. The dye soon followed and as usual the accompanying taste in my mouth and warmth in my bladder. Gross. I hate review days. I actually dream of a day when I don't have to be reviewed for anything other than a flu needle. As if that's going to happen.
And what a week to be reviewed when my patience is already being well and truly stretched. This is a big week. It's a huge week. It's a "this has got to work" week. My attention is hundred percent on my daughters at the moment. I'm not currently interested in what's going on in my body so let's get this over and done with.
Done?
Goodbye.
The FED has been keeping herself distracted by writing about her experiences and posting it on this blog. This caused a meltdown such as my blog has never experienced. She is delighted by this and gives me a running count on how many people have read her entry. Her story has even been picked up by the local paper. I'm pleased. There are a few people who could do with reading about someone with real, not self inflicted problems. Real problems and still smiling and hopeful. Thats our girl.
So, four more days till surgery. Keep busy. Buy food, eat food, wash clothes, wear clothes, play candy crush, play MORE candy crush. As the twins on My Kitchen Rules would say " we got this".
Till another time very soon.
Vow! Whose surgery this time SPS? Yours or FED daughter's? Not very clear - maybe its is time to meet at the shops and have a coffee so I am up to date. Whoever - know our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
